England dropped middle-order batsman Ian Bell from their one-day international and T20 squads after he struggled to find form during the 3-0 Test defeat to Pakistan.
Bell managed just 51 runs in six innings and constantly got out to spinner Saeed Ajmal, who finished with 24 wickets in the series. Pakistan won the third Test by 71-runs on Monday to complete a 3-0 rout of World No.1 team.
Danny Briggs and Jos Buttler were included for the first time in the England one-day squad.
Buttler though has played for England in Twenty20, against India last year but is yet to play for in the 50-over format.
Alastair Cook will lead England in the one-day series which starts in Abu Dhabi on February 13 and Stuart Broad will captain the Twenty20 squad.
All-rounder Tim Bresnan was also included in both the squads subject to fitness.
"Bresnan's inclusion in both squads is subject to a fitness assessment during the preparation period as he continues his recovery following an elbow operation," said the England and Wales Cricket Board.
Bresnan didn’t take part in the Test series against Pakistan was forced to return home early, after failing to recover from an elbow operation he had last year.
"We have selected two squads that include both experienced international players and younger players who have performed strongly for England Lions in recent months and deserve an opportunity," said national selector Geoff Miller.
