Amanda Holden's Husband Thanks Nurses For "Saving Her Life"
The husband of Amanda Holden last night thanked hospital staff for saving his wife's life. The Britain's Got Talent judge is still said to be "very weak" and requiring emergency blood transfusions during a caesarean while giving birth to daughter Hollie Rose, according to the UK's Daily Mirror,.
The mother-of-two was left fighting for her life for three days after going into labour, and she's expected to spend several more days in hospital. Her husband Chris said, "I would like to thank all the medical staff and everyone who has been involved in Amanda's care. They have all been absolutely fantastic". A friend close to the couple said the last few days had taken their toll on the family, saying, "Chris has barely slept this week at all and has been at her side every step of the way. It is only now Amanda is on the mend we can all finally breathe again.Amanda is not by any means 100%, but she is stable now and will pull through".
Amanda and husband Chris already have a daughter, Lexi, who is five. Prior to this pregnancy, Amanda lost a baby boy when she was seven months pregnant. Last week, the television star joked that she would ask Simon Cowell to be godfather to the new arrival.
