Everton captain Phil Neville has cast doubt on the suggestion that Tottenham are contenders for the Premier League this season, warning that it is too early to judge whether Harry Redknapp's side are genuine challengers.
Spurs entertain Wolves at White Hart Lane on Saturday, before Redknapp's team travel to Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool all before March in what will be a decisive set of games.
Neville won six Premier League titles during his time at Manchester United, and insists that the north London side have yet to be truly tested this season.
“The biggest test will come in March,” he told The Sun.
"That's when everyone drops points. Whether they can grind out results then, that's the real question."
Tottenham have lost just once in their past 18 games, and are currently level on points with United, who sit in second place in the league table.
