One Direction frontman Harry Styles has finally broken his silence on his relationship with Caroline Flack: confirming that it's over. Rumours surrounding their private lives first emerged last year when Harry described Caroline as "gorgeous" before they were snapped partying together in London.
However, this week it was reported how Harry had ditched Caroline after heading off on a U.S. tour with his band. A source told the UK's Sun newspaper, "It was never going to work and Harry knew that.He spoke to Caroline and explained that he thought it was best they break up. They've been spending a lot of time together so it's a blow to Caroline, who was serious about the relationship". Styles has stayed silent on his alleged fling with Flack, but he took to Twitter this week to clear up speculation he had "dumped" her, telling followers, "Please know I didn't 'dump' Caroline. This was a mutual decision. She is one of the kindest, sweetest people I know. Please respect that". The news is likely to come as a relief for fans of heartthrob Harry, some of whom littered Caroline's Twitter page with death threats upon hearing she was dating the singer. At the time, she hit out at the haters, saying, "Hi one direction fans! To clarify. I'm close friends with harry.. He's one of the nicest people I know. I don't deserve death threats".
