Golden Globes: The Nominees Speak Out About Ricky Gervais

Golden Globes: The Nominees Speak Out About Ricky GervaisThey can't wait to see what he does this time!
In all honesty, the best bit about last year's Golden Globes was Ricky Gervais.
Unpredictable? Yes. Offensive? Definitely. Hilarious? Without a doubt. Here's hoping for a repeat performance tonight...
When the money machine that is Hollywood gets scathingly torn apart for some of its most ridiculous crimes, it can't possibly be a bad thing. Which is why the show's producers are giving Gervais a completely free reign this year. In fact, as one producer stated earlier:
"There are no rules."
And, despite the backlash last year, the majority of the nominees are looking forward to seeing Gervais in action.
"He is amazing and funny but everything he says is mean as hell, and that's why I love him," said Julie Bowen of 'Modern Family'.
Jessica Alba was also on Team Gervais, stating that "You kind of have to just know that he's a comedian and he's poking fun and that's it and not take it personally. We play dress up for a living, so at a certain point you can't take yourself that seriously."
Fellow comedian Kathy Griffith kept things simple, issuing Gervais with one simple piee of advice:
"Let it rip. That's how we like it."
We couldn't have put it better ourselves! We're predicting big things from Ricky because, as always, he has plenty of material to work with. With everything from 'The Artist' to 'The Help', the many celebrity break-ups and the royal wedding at his fingertips, we're pretty sure it's going to be one helluva funny (and potentially uncomfortable!) evening.
Are you excited to watch the Golden Globes unfold later?
Stars party at last year's Golden Globes...
