The 2012 BRIT Award Nominees have been announced and Jessie J's up for three - hurrah!
The BRIT Awards 2012 nominees have been announced at London's Savoy Hotel (*cue trumpets etc*). Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran is up for four awards while Adele and Jessie J are each nominated for three.
Jessie J was on hand to help with the nominee announcement and even switched up her hairdo for the occasion, showing off longer wet-look waves and slipping on a sheer striped dress.
2011 Critics' Choice winner Jessie J is up for three gongs Best Breakthrough, Best Single for Price Tag and Best Female - which sees her up against Florence and The Machines and Adele.

Jessie has said of the nomination: “I would never have imagined this last year. I remember sitting at the table and thinking, next year I want to be voted best female.”
“Even if I don't win, it's just being nominated and the feeling of that.”

Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran is up for a whopping four awards at The BRIT Awards 2012

Ed Sheeran has been nominated for Best Single for The A Team, Best Album for +, Best Male and Best Breakthrough.
The 20-year-old said he is: “ecstatic, really happy and pleased” to be recognised.

Adele has been nominated for three awards at this year's BRITs
Jessie J told fans waiting at The Savoy that she used to spend her lunch hours “at the BRIT School singing with Adele.”
Adele has also been nominated for three awards while Florence + The Machine, Emeli Sandé and Coldplay are all nominated in two categories, along with international male solo artists Bon Iver and Aloe Blacc.
Coldplay are the only group with more than one nomination while Lana Del Rey and Nicki Minaj are both nominated for the International Newcomer Award.
Jessie J, Florence and The Machine and Adele are all going to be going head to head for the highly coveted British Female Solo Artist award. All three are previous winners of the BRITs Critics’ Choice award, won this year by Emeli Sandé.
They will be up against last year’s British Female Solo Artist winner Laura Marling and Kate Bush, who has been nominated in this category an incredible seven times but has not won it since 1987. Think you know who'll win this category? Vote below...
Back to Jessie J’s new look if you will...it's is not actually all that new mind - the singer has once before shown off a more demure ‘do than her signature black bob. The star wore her hair in 1940s retro waves at the 2011 Glamour Awards too where she was named The Woman Of Tomorrow.
With three BRIT nominations bestowed upon her this evening, she's certainly the woman of the hour. The singer told fans tonight that she is in the midst of recording her second album as well as confirming plans to shave her head for charity. Presumably meaning we should expect her to wheel out as many hot new hair looks as possible before then.

You should be - Adele, Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Florence + The Machine, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and (with their first performance in almost three years) Blur are all confirmed to perform this year’s 02 show on February 21st.
If you can't make it down fret not, it will also be broadcast live on ITV1.

Voting for British Single also opens today and will be voted for by listeners of Capital FM and users of iTunes along with British Group supported by BBC Radio 1 and British Breakthrough Act with BBC Radio 1.
